Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a tropical getaway overlooking Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It is one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts and also includes Deluxe Villas and Bungalows. The resort is inspired by the Pacific Islands and each building is named after an area of Polynesia. The resort has been through recent renovations, including Moana-themed guest rooms. This December, the newest area of Disney’s Polynesian Village will open to guests, the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

The Polynesian is located on Disney’s Seven Seas Lagoon and is across the lagoon from Magic Kingdom. It is a Deluxe Resort and is located on the Walt Disney World Monorail. There is also boat access to Disney’s Magic Kingdom from this resort.

Rooms

As noted above, all the standard guest rooms have recently been updated with a Moana theme. There are several room categories to chose from…Theme Park View, Water/Lagoon View and Resort View. The standard guest rooms sleep up to 5 adults, which include 2 queen size beds and a daybed. There are also club-level guest rooms. Currently, the Villas & Bungalows include studio rooms that sleep up to 5 adults and the Bungalows that sleep up to 8 adults. The Bungalows are located on the water with a stunning view of Magic Kingdom Park.

Deluxe Studio

The Deluxe Studio features 1 Queen Bed, 1 Queen-Size Pull Down Bed and 1 Single-Size Pull Down Bed. It features and kitchenette and 2 bathrooms.

Dining

Disney’s Polynesian Village features 2 table-service restaurants, ‘Ohana and Kona Cafe. Capt. Cooks is the resorts quick-service restaurant and Trader Sam’s is the very fun and popular place to go to for a tropical drink. There are also a few more lounges and pool bars, as well as the Pineapple Lanai where you can get a Dole Whip!

Pools and Activities

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is the home to the Lava Pool. This zero-depth entry pool features a volcano, waterfall and a 142 foot-long waterslide. If you are looking for a quieter pool option, the Oasis Pool is a great place to relax.

Other activities around the resort include campfire activities, movies under the stars, boat rentals, guided fishing and many other activities.
