In The Magic

Fall at Disney World

One of my favorite times of the year to go to Disney World is the Fall. It is fun seeing all the decorations and going to events like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. With the heat of summer coming to an end, it makes it such a great time to go.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Meet some of your favorite villains or Disney characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This party is held on select nights at the Magic Kingdom Park. It is a separate ticketed event, and some party nights sell out pretty fast. During the party, you can dress up as your favorite Disney characters or other fun costumes and trick or treat around the Magic Kingdom. There are special events and character meet and greets during the party as well. There are several fun events that you can only participate in if you go to the party. Some of those are:

Mickey’s Not So Spooky Spectacular. This is a special fireworks show at Cinderella’s castle.

Mickey’s Boo to You Parade. This is my favorite parade of all Disney parades. It’s so fun to see some of your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes and to see villains and other characters, like those from The Haunted Mansion during the parade.

The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet. You know the Dapper Dans. At Halloween, the Cadaver Dans come out to entertain with fun and spooky Halloween songs.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular. Celebrate with the Sanderson sisters, from Hocus Pocus, at the Cinderella Castle stage.

During the party, there is so much to see and do from special treats only available during the party to special Magic Shots for Photopass photos.

Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival

Over at Epcot, one of the more popular festivals takes place during the fall. While visiting Epcot, you can partake in the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, starting on August 29 through November 23, 2024, as part of your park admission. As you work your way around the World Showcase, you can visit the Global Marketplaces to try different food and drinks from 6 different continents.

Between trying all the fun foods, you can stop to listen to live music that is part of the Eat to the Beat concert series. The entertainment list for Eat to the Beat has not been released yet, so check back later for that information.

Another fun thing to do during the festival is the scavenger hunt. While supplies last, guests can purchase a scavenger hunt map for Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and search for Remy throughout the World Showcase!
